Description
The new Yaesu M-100 microphone features a design similar to the flagship M-1 model and integrates two microphone capsules, a high-quality condenser and a dynamic one.
The condenser capsule produces a greater overall frequency response - with clear and crisp audio characteristics - while the dynamic capsule offers improved low and mid-frequency response. A set of one-touch buttons on the microphone base allow the two microphone capsules to be used independently or in combination to create the most favorable sound quality for each individual's vocal characteristics.
The integrated low-cut (cut-off at 340Hz, -6dB/octave) and high-cut (cut-off at 2kHz, -6dB/octave) controls adjust the low/high frequency audio responses, according to user preferences and operating conditions.
The included TBC-Treble Boost Cowling (shown top left) further enhances vocal response attributes in the important 1,000 to 1,500 Hz range to develop a penetrating signal with a compact and specific structure. The PTT button activates three Air-Cylinders, which allow for simple and comfortable keypress - free from a hard click. The inclusion of a magnetic switch ensures long life and stable operation. The high-visibility ON AIR LED indicator clearly informs the user when the PTT circuit is active.
The included microphone cable can be used to power the M-100 by simply connecting compatible Yaesu HF transceivers. Current Yaesu HF radio owners can immediately begin using this new microphone as an exciting and valuable addition to their current radio.
