FEATURES:
The M-1 microphone is the latest addition to the Yaesu family, a high-quality, innovative microphone with a dual capsule, dynamic and condenser.
The condenser capsule produces a wide frequency response and clear, crisp audio characteristics, perfect for crowded bands and indispensable for major DX pile-ups. The dynamic capsule is rich in bass and mid-tones, excellent for local QSOs.
The frequency of the capsules can be independently adjusted using the nine bands of the graphic equalizer. Each capsule has a separate volume control for independent adjustment of output levels. The output of each microphone capsule can be selected separately or combined to produce more pleasing tones.
Both the condenser and dynamic microphone capsules in the M-1 use nine equalization bands (63Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz) and the frequency response of each element is independent and individually adjustable.
The included TBC (Treble Boost Cowling) enhances vocal response in the 1 to 1.5 kHz range. The mounting of the Cowling creates a unique, exclusive, and pleasant timbre.
The PTT button switches using three cylindrical conveyor tubes that offer a smooth and comfortable surface along the trapezoidal contact. The elimination of the mechanical switch in favor of magnetic contact ensures long life and stable operation.
Other features include: recording and playback capability (20 seconds); TX position visibility via a specially designed red LED located on the microphone cone; a large LCD display allows working with the graphic equalizer, viewing settings, and displaying the frequency response for each band.
This revolutionary microphone allows pre-listening through headphones that can be connected directly and allows settings to be made without necessarily going on air. Just a touch to go to TX, and an optional filter can automatically shape lower frequency curves. The microphone is equipped with XLR, RJ, and 8-pin connections. The headphone volume is adjustable and two special screwdrivers are included to facilitate equalizer adjustments, output connector, and audio output volume control for headphones.
This special microphone is also sold in a limited series (100 units produced) on the occasion of Yaesu's 60th Anniversary, a version that differs from the commercially available one by a very elegant golden ring that wraps around the microphone body.
