The Digital system of the MD-430 is TDMA (DMR) (Motorola, etc.)
DMR is a system that uses the concept of TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access), meaning that on a 12.5 KHz channel, it can carry 2 digital channels without dividing the band into 2 sub-channels of 6.25 KHz but by alternately transmitting the 2 channels for 30ms each: in this way we have 2 Slots that can simultaneously carry voice/voice, voice/data, data/data completely autonomously and independently.
Naturally, the MD-430 device can also communicate in analog mode with other traditional analog PMR 446 devices.
Zones are a group of channels. Each radio can set 64 zones and each zone with a maximum of 16 channels.
