It is the technical evolution and successor to the very famous S-2000 dual-conversion radio receiver. This new version has been significantly improved with a High-IF triple conversion receiver and DSP decoding. Ideal for base station use, it can also be transported to any other location thanks to its fairly compact size! It can be used to listen to FM, long wave (LW), medium wave (MW/AM), short wave (SW) and VHF airband, and is capable of single sideband (SSB) operation. Like the well-known Tecsun PL-990X and H-501X, this S-2200x is also equipped with a high-IF analog circuit and triple conversion DSP decoding technology.
It has great performance in terms of sensitivity, selectivity and mirror station interference contrast (image rejection). Like other Tecsun models, it features a variety of "hidden features."

DC 5 V / 2 A charging jack (USB-C)
Power supply exclusively by batteries:6 V: 4 D-type batteries (R20/UM1).
Suitable for alkaline, Ni-MH and lithium batteries, but the total voltage must be equal to or less than 6 V
Charging of 18650 batteries:DC 5 V / 2 A, charging socket from USB-C mains adapter (not supplied),
It can be used WITH OR WITHOUT THE BATTERIES INSERTED during the charging phase, provided that the USB power supply is of good quality, even if not recommended for the duration/life of the batteries... Charging is very fast and there is no need to power it during use!
