The new control box is fully configurable and controllable by computer via RS232.
THE FRONT PANEL AND MANUAL CONTROLS:
On the front panel, in addition to the power switch, we find the two CW and CCW paddle buttons and the preset knob.
A word on the preset:
It is made with a rotary encoder, allowing you to pre-set any direction in the 0-360 degree range simply by turning the corresponding knob.
At the same instant you turn the knob, the display automatically shows the preset position. Once the desired position is reached, by stopping the preset rotation, after 3 seconds the rotor automatically starts and the display returns to show the actual position of the rotor until the preset position is reached. In the 3 seconds between setting the preset and its execution, you can change or re-set a new position. The preset command can be cancelled at any time simply by pressing one of the paddles for an instant.
Functions and performance: (the list refers to the most important functions and is accompanied by a brief description)
MANUALLY AND RS232 CONFIGURABLE FUNCTIONS:
- Stop North - Stop South (Stop South is default, can be changed with dip-switch or via software)
- Soft Start and Soft Stop (Start and stop occur gradually with a 10-degree ramp. It can be included or excluded with the dip-switch or via software, the ramp can be programmed via software)
- Rotation range 360° or 500° (selectable by dip-switch), 500° is the default value, in this case there are 70° of extra travel on both sides. The rotation range can be programmed by software, between 1° and 500° by resetting the start and end of travel values)
FUNCTIONS CONFIGURABLE OR PROGRAMMABLE ONLY VIA RS32:
Reverse delay (prevents immediate reversal of direction, 3 seconds by default, programmable)
