mAT-10 is a very compact tuner for QRP devices such as the FT-817/818.
The maximum allowed transmission power is 30 W SSB PEP.
Power is supplied by two built-in LiIon batteries (type 10440), which make the tuner a good companion for portable operations with the FT-817 or FT-818.
Control is via an included cable (8-pin MiniDIN) which is connected to the ACC connector of the FT-817/818.
Operation is via a button on the tuner.
With the direct coupling between tuner and transceiver, "One Touch tuning" becomes possible: the tuner changes the operating mode to CW and reduces power, tunes, and then automatically returns to the previously set operating mode and transmit power. This makes the tuning process very comfortable. As with all mAT tuners, a once found tune is stored in one of the 16000 memories, depending on the frequency. If you later return to the same frequency, the data is read from memory, the tuning process takes approx. 0.2 seconds. Due to the use of bistable relays, which maintain their state without power, power consumption is extremely low. The tuner can be set to bypass mode if the antenna does not require tuning on a certain band. The connectors are two BNC sockets.

The mAT-10 is a compact tuner designed for the YAESU FT-817/818 but can also be used with other QRP transceivers.
When connected to FT-817/818 via a dedicated mAT-CY control cable (INCLUDED), it is a dedicated tuner, which can achieve convenient "one-key tuning". If no control cable is used, it is a universal QRP tuner for all low-power transceivers.
The mAT-10 is connected to the ACC port of the FT-817/818 transceiver via a control cable. The ACC interface allows an external device such as a PC or the mAT-10 to control the FT-817/818 by sending serial commands to it. The mAT-10 has the "one-key tuning" function. When the multifunction button on the tuner is pressed, the mAT-10 will automatically control the initial tuning of the transceiver.
When the mAT-10 is used with other QRP transceivers, it does not require control cables and can operate by simply connecting RF cables. The tuning process can be completed by pressing the Multi-function button on the panel; its operation is very simple.
The three lights in the upper half of the tuner are used to display battery charge or current SWR. In the off state, after pressing the multifunction button, the three lights indicate the battery charge level inside the tuner. When powered on, these three lights are used to indicate the current SWR.
The mAT-10 has only one button, which can perform multiple functions. Whether it's the FT-817/818 or other transceivers, this button has the functions of power switching, tuning initiation, online/bypass state switching, etc. The lower half of the tuner has three indicator lights, which are used to indicate "online/bypass", "tuning process" and "power".
The tuner can operate in the range from 1.8 MHz to 54 MHz, at power levels up to 30 watts. It will tune dipoles, verticals, yagis, or virtually any coax-fed antenna. It will match an extraordinary range of antennas and impedances, far greater than that of other tuners you might have considered, including the built-in tuners on many radios.
The mAT-10 has 16,000 frequency memories. When tuning to or near a previously tuned frequency, the mAT-10 uses "Memory Tune" to recall previous tuning parameters in a fraction of a second. If no stored settings are available, the tuner performs a full tuning cycle, storing the parameters for memory recall in subsequent tuning cycles on that frequency. In this way, the mAT-10 "learns" as it is used, adapting to bands and frequencies as it goes. You can also manually initiate a tuning cycle whenever needed.
Two 10440 lithium batteries are installed inside the mAT-10, which powers the tuner. Due to the use of advanced magnetic latching relays, the mAT-10's power consumption is very low; the lithium battery can operate for a long time after being fully charged. It is very suitable for outdoor use. Special chargers are supplied with tuners. You must use its own charger to charge the tuner. It is dangerous to charge with an incorrect charger.
The shell of the mAT-10 is carved from a whole piece of aluminum, its surface is black anodized, and the text on the front panel is laser carved. It is very small, delicate, beautiful, and portable. We believe you will like it.
The mAT-10's mAT-CY control cable is used to connect the YAESU FT-817/818 transceiver. It can also be used by mAT-30 to connect other YAESU transceivers. It is supplied with the tuner and does not need to be purchased by the user. The control cable is a standard 8-pin miniDin plug cable and is the same data cable as the mAT-30 tuner. When the tuners are used with other transceivers, the control cable does not need to be connected.
A special charger connected to the tuner, 8.4V 1.0A. It is supplied with the tuner and does not need to be purchased by the user. The charger can also be used with the mAT-125E tuner. Please do not use other chargers for charging, as this may endanger the tuners.
Before using the tuner for the first time after receiving it, the tuner must be charged to activate the internal battery protection circuit. During transport, the tuner is in a protective state and cannot be turned on unless charged. You must do the same after changing the battery.
