The operating principle of an inverter is very simple: using the normal voltage of a boat, vehicle, or camper battery, it provides an AC 220V output, with a 50 Hz sine wave, characteristic of normal household mains voltage.
The essential factor in choosing an inverter is the continuous output power (expressed in watts); knowing in advance how many and which devices will be connected to the inverter, it should be chosen based on its ability to deliver slightly more power than required by the user.
Multiple devices can be connected to the same inverter: the total sum of the power required by each instrument must not exceed the maximum power delivered.
