Kelemen Antennas are wire antennas with traps made of Teflon-insulated coaxial cables.
TEFLON (PTFE) FEATURES:

Coaxial traps are very light compared to traditional traps, allowing for a greater average height above ground. Many portable operations prefer these antennas because a simple fiberglass pole is often sufficient to raise the antenna. Kelemen's special antenna traps have a high Q and therefore low losses. All baluns are equipped with a mounting attachment for installation.
Kelemen Antennas are made with high-quality materials. All cast parts are milled from weather-resistant polycarbonate; all hardware, such as screws, washers, nuts, and clamps, are made of stainless steel. The baluns are bolted, with a transparent polycarbonate casing, and are not filled with plastic insulating material like other baluns. This makes the production of these baluns much more expensive, also because we still have to make weather-resistant baluns, but this method has a clear advantage: in case of an 'accident,' you can repair the balun yourself. And it is much lighter than other conventional baluns.
