The IC-7300 is an SDR (Software Defined Radio) transceiver, All Mode HF/50/70 MHz that operates in SSB, AM, FM, CW and RTTY.
The device uses RF direct sampling technology, a peculiarity of SDR (Software Defined Radio) devices, and represents a significant change in the world of amateur radio.
It is a technical solution that reduces hardware complexity, significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio.
Signals are converted into digital data and then processed by the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array).
The result is a clean, clear signal and excellent audio output.
The device also integrates the Waterfall function, which allows you to visualize the variation in signal intensity over time and detect even the weakest signals.
The combination of this function with the "Real Time" spectrum analyzer will enhance the performance of the IC-7300, increasing opportunities to make QSOs without neglecting any signal, including the weakest ones.
The Audio Scope function is also highly appreciated, allowing you to monitor various audio characteristics such as microphone compressor level, filter width, notch filter width, and keying waveform in CW mode.
Received or transmitted audio signals can be viewed on the FFT oscilloscope and the oscilloscope.
The new "IP+" function improves the performance of the third-order "intercept point" (IP3).
When a weak signal is received adjacent to a strong interference source, the AD converter, thanks to this function, is optimized to counteract and reduce signal distortion.
The device has 15 discrete RF bandpass filters.
The RF signal is passed only through one of the filters, while any out-of-range signals are blocked.
The high Q-factor coils used minimize loss in the RF bandpass filters.
Furthermore, to ensure clear and natural audio reproduction, the loudspeaker is housed in a dedicated space, isolated from the transceiver chassis, to avoid any annoying resonance or vibration.
The IC-7300 stands out for its large 4.3" color TFT LCD touch screen display, which allows for quick and intuitive operations.
Thanks to the on-screen controls, it will be possible to set the various functions with simplicity and precision.
The touch screen keyboard makes it extremely easy to set various functions and modify memory content.
Furthermore, the use of the multi-function knob, in combination with the touch screen display, further facilitates any search and setting operations.
When the multi-function knob is pressed, menu items are shown on the right side of the display, and you can select the desired item by simply touching the screen.
Among the other main features, we highlight the automatic antenna tuner with built-in tuning memory, remote control via IP using the optional RS-BA1 software, and a micro SD card slot for data storage.
The IC-7300 has the same dimensions and form factor as the IC-9700.
The key layout and menu screens are also almost identical to those of the IC-9700.
The combination of the two devices will result in an ideal and compact radio station that will allow operation in HF/50/70/144/430/1200 MHz.
