- Simultaneous reception capability: The IC-2730E is a dual band transceiver, providing simultaneous VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF and also the ability to receive VHF/UHF. A simple press of a button allows switching between the main (transmit) band and sub-band;

- Controller mounting bracket with main unit: With this bracket, the controller can be attached to the main unit. The microphone connector is mounted on both the controller and the main unit, allowing the microphone to be connected to either unit;

- Independent controls for each band: The main knobs, volume, squelch, and primary buttons are symmetrically arranged. Various operations including frequency tuning can be performed smoothly and without complications;

- VS-3 Bluetooth® headset (optional): Can wirelessly control the IC-2730E with three programmable buttons and PTT and provides VOX operation (hands-free communication).
