The SuperStar SS-6900 (v7) is an HF transceiver with the unique feature of being programmable via Windows with a PC and a specific cable.
Behind this simple black design are an impressive number of functions and features: 40 Watt FM output (40 Watt SSB), simultaneous frequency and channel display, 6 programmable bands, echo, channel scan, PA, RF gain, dual watch, time-out timer, power voltage indication, roger bleep, adjustable power, noise blanker & ANL, built-in SWR meter, hi-cut filter, and overvoltage protection system.
The radio can be programmed with 6 bands of 60 channels for export use from 25.615 to 30.105. Programming is done via USB cable and a PC with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 operating system. With a simple modification (pressing two keys at power-on), operation can be switched between extended CB mode (from 26.615 to 28.305) and amateur radio mode for the 10-meter band.
