The KG - UV8D operates at 4 watts UHF and 5 watts VHF. It features 199 programmable memory channels with DTMF encoding/decoding and selectable high or low power options.
The KG - UV8D also has duplex cross-band repeat capability, so you can use the handheld in full cross-band mode! Transmit on one band while simultaneously receiving on the other. You can also receive two signals at the same time on the same band!
The LCD screen is large, colorful, and bright, with space to display all the information you need to operate the radio on both bands in every way.
The UV8D is also IP55 water resistant. The KG UV8D is powered by a 7.4v (12.58Wh) Li-Ion battery for maximum uptime during operation. It uses the same Mic connection as previous models. Batteries and chargers are not compatible with previous models.
