IDAS digital entry-level series
The IDAS IC-F3102D/F4102D portable radio series are small, easy-to-use radios that are capable of both analog and digital radio communications on a single channel. The IC-F3102D/F4102D series are incredibly simple to use and have functions that do not require an LCD and keypad. Furthermore, the IC-F3102D/F4102D series are compatible with IDAS conventional single-site and multi-site trunking, thus providing a cost-effective digital migration path from analog.
Channel announcement:
When the channel knob is turned, the IC-F3102D/F4102D series announces the channel number in English, which is ideal for workers in dark environments.
Optional GPS speaker, HM-171GP:
When used with the new HM-171GP GPS speaker microphone, the IC-F3102D/F4102D series can send its GPS position data with voice or emergency signal.
800 mW audio output power:
The integrated BTL (bridge-tied load) amplifier provides a powerful 800mW* audio output from the large 45mm speaker. The radio provides loud and intelligible audio even in noisy environments. (*Typical with internal speaker)
Simple operation for instant communication
The IC-F3102D/F4102D series is so easy to use that it does not require specific training. The few knobs and buttons are generously sized for easy use and are designed to provide non-slip, positive action, even when wearing gloves. This simple interface makes it ideal for high-turnover and shift-work environments where the radio is constantly passed from person to person.
Three types of batteries to choose from:
The IC-F3102D/F4102D series has three types of battery packs and cases to choose from. Rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery, BP-265, Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery, BP-264 and battery case, BP-263 can be selected as desired.
Rugged IP54 and MIL-STD-810-F construction
IC-F3102D/F4102D is tested for dust protection and water resistance equivalent to IP54 and 11 categories of the MIL-STD-810 environmental test. In short, this radio is rugged!
Internal VOX functionality for hands-free operation
The radio has internal VOX functionality for hands-free operation. Optional compatible headphones with OPC-2004 adapter plug cable can be used with the radio. Additionally, VOX gain and VOX delay time are adjustable.
Encoder/decoder with 5-tone selectives
5-tone signaling offers selective calling, silent standby and other convenient functions with programming. The "stun/kill" function disables a radio over the air and the "revive" function restores the disabled radio.
CTCSS/DTCS encoder/decoder
The IC-F3102D/F4102D series has added high-speed CTCSS/DTCS decoder to reduce the decoding speed to almost half of the conventional IC-F15 series model.
Scan functions
One or two priority channels can be monitored even while scanning other non-priority channels. Tx channel and talk back functions allow for quick response while scanning.
“Lone worker” function
When the radio is not used for a preset period, any radio operation is required with an audible signal. If the radio is not used within this preset time, an emergency signal automatically transmits and alerts a colleague or attendant in case of potential problems.
