High protection against water and dust - IP67
The new IC-F1000 series features an extremely compact body/chassis
only 24.5 mm deep and has a dust, mud, and water protection rating of IP67 (equal to the radio's resistance in water at 1 mt depth for 30 minutes).
Built-in motion sensor for increased operator safety
Thanks to its motion sensor, the IC-F1000 series can send an emergency call in various situations: not only are "lone worker" and "man down" functions programmable, but it is also possible for the radio to send an emergency call when it moves for a period of time or at a speed greater than pre-programmed, or if it is shaken, for example during a chase.
Intelligible audio even in noisy environments
The internal 36 mm speaker handles an 800 mW signal*. The BTL amplifier doubles the speaker's output power and allows for a high audio level of communications, making them intelligible even in very noisy environments.

Built-in voice inversion scrambler
The IC-F1000 series offers secure conversations thanks to the built-in voice inversion scrambler. Up to 16 codes can be selected.
14 Hours of operating time with the supplied IP67 battery
The supplied lithium-ion battery pack, BP-279 (7.2V, 1485 mAh) allows for an operating time of 14 hours*

Silent stand-by and selective calls
2-tone, 5-tone, CTCSS, and DTCS selective calls are available.
Compatible with MDC 1200 standard
The following MDC 1200 functions are programmable:
PTT ID, Emergency (no Tx ACK), Radio check (Rx only), Stun/revive (Rx only), Status messages (LCD display models only), 100 alias table (LCD display models only).
Voice channel number announcement
By changing channels with the rotary selector, the radio announces the selected channel number (in English).
