- Intuitive touchscreen interface: The sensitive screen provides innovative, fast, and easy control of features and memory management.
- Inclined controller: The control unit is angled to face the operator directly, improving screen readability. The efficient built-in oval speaker provides clear audio. An external speaker or electronic keyer can be connected to the control unit.
- DV, D-STAR mode operation: With the IC-7100, digital voice and low-speed data communications can be established in DV D-STAR mode*. Connecting D-STAR repeaters via the Internet allows for long-distance connections with digital modulation, providing clear and understandable audio.

- IF DSP functionality: The latest 32-bit floating-point DSP technology supports many digital signal processes such as IF filter, dual PBT, manual notch filter. Of course, this advanced digital process works across all amateur bands, from HF to 70 cm.
- Suction cup base mount: optional, MBF-1 With the MBF-1 base, which attaches to your vehicle via suction cup, you have an accessory that facilitates installation. The MBA-1 mobile installation bracket is also required.
