IC-M423G Icom – Fixed marine VHF band transceiver with GNSS receiver, Class D DSC and remote station capability
The IC-M423G transceiver features an integrated GPS receiver, a white backlit LCD, new laser-cut keys on a white backlit background, and a new palm microphone. Innovative features integrated into the device include the always-on noise canceller, DSC function, and the ability to manage a second remote station thanks to the Commandmic ™.
Intuitive User Interface
The convenient ICOM user interface is used in many marine devices and offers very intuitive operation. The display and the four navigation keys provide quick and easy access to the desired functions. The contrast with the white background of the finely crafted buttons perfectly completes the design.
Active Noise Cancellation
The integrated noise cancellation function is active both when sending and receiving messages and is capable of eliminating background noise by up to 90%. This increases audio quality, making transmission better.
Integrated GPS Receiver
The integrated GPS receiver displays the last position and time which can also be used to make DSC calls.
Integrated Class D DSC
The integrated DSC control function monitors activity on channel 70 (DSC channel) even while receiving on another channel. DSC functions include: distress calls, individual, group, all ships, position request/send, test DSC calls.
Optional Commandmic ™ HM195GB
With the Commandmic ™ HM-195GB, it is possible to use the IC-M423G remotely and access all its functions. Furthermore, both devices can be used as an Intercom. Combined with the IC-M423G, the HM-195GB has the same display and key illumination background.
10 W Audio Power, Megaphone and Foghorn Functions
The IC-M423G features a 10 Watt amplifier that amplifies the audio signal on external speakers. With the Megaphone function, it is therefore possible to use the microphone to broadcast clear and loud communications to onboard personnel and other vessels. It is also possible to emit foghorn signals.
Standard NMEA Interface
When connected to an external GPS receiver, the current position and time are displayed on the IC-M423G's display. Position data from other vessels is transmitted via the IC-M423G's NMEA0183 connection to external navigation devices.
Call AIS Destinations with MA-500TR
This is an optional Class B AIS transponder that allows individual DSC calls to other AIS-equipped vessels, without having to manually enter the MMSI code.
