The Yaesu G-5500 provides azimuth and elevation control of medium to large unidirectional satellite antenna arrays under remote control from the station's operating position.
The rotators can be mounted together on a mast, or independently with the azimuth rotator inside a tower or rotor cage and the elevation rotator on the boom.
If you are just starting with satellite operation, the G-5500DC offers a complete Azimuth (450º) - Elevation (180º) rotation system, ideal for most amateur applications; the dual controller allows you to keep track of all aspects of your antenna system's positioning.
The G-5500DC also includes an interface jack for computer control, supported by an external control jack (DIN connector) provided on the back of the controller for interfacing via D-A converters to an external microcomputer or other displays/controllers, such as the optional GS-232A computer-controlled as well as many aftermarket control programs and interfaces.
All Yaesu rotators are housed in weatherproof, die-cast aluminum, permanently lubricated enclosures to ensure many years of quiet operation. Yaesu rotators feature a quiet and reliable gear braking system.
