The VG4 antenna is a 4-band GP type and is made of aluminum alloy with an antioxidant surface. It is light and solid and is easy to install and erect, with good outdoor weather resistance. After normal installation, it can withstand about level 12 strong wind (it does not need wind wires for fixing).

3.1 Notes
The antenna can be installed on a reliable fixed support or on the wall with expansion bolts. The installation clearance from the ground must be greater than 3m.
The antenna installation environment should be as open as possible and away from some important equipment and facilities, power transmission and transformation equipment, medical equipment and other sensitive electronic instruments or equipment, and public radio and television tower or other high-power radio transmission antenna system.
In case of high erection position, please take measures for lightning protection and grounding.
After the antenna test is completed, it is recommended to apply waterproof and UV-resistant silicone rubber to the antenna feeder joint, to wrap the entire connection part.
When the surrounding environment is safe, it is not recommended to use wind rope to reinforce the antenna.
In case of extreme weather conditions, it is recommended to put down the antenna and reinforce it in advance.
. 3.2 Installation Steps
1) Install each component from bottom to top as shown in the figure on the right. Fix the hose clamp after each component of the main rod is recessed.
2) It is recommended to finally install the main counterweight. The 20m and 40m capacitor caps should be installed when the main rod D and main rod F are installed. The length of the two capacitor caps is different, so pay attention to distinguish them.
3) Install the matching box in the position of the main support and the main rod joint and fix it with screws.
4) Make sure each main rod is connected and fixed well; otherwise the overall strength of the antenna will be affected.
3.3 Commissioning Steps
1) Adjust main rod A, B and C, or it can adjust the concentrate frequency point of 10m band.
2) Adjust the main rod D, or you can adjust the 15m focus frequency point.
3) Adjust the main rod E, or you can adjust the 20m focus frequency point.
4) Adjust the main rod length F and G, or you can adjust the 40m center frequency point.
5) The rough center frequency point of each band is as follows:
40m: 7.05MHZ 15m: 21.3MHZ 20m: 14.2MHZ 10m: 28.5MHZ
6) Due to the influence of the installation environment, if there is any deviation, please adjust it appropriately according to the above parameters.
The VG4 antenna can be adjusted according to the center frequency point of the frequency band we need. During adjustment, adjusting the high-frequency band will affect the low-frequency band, while adjusting the low-frequency band will not affect the high-frequency band.
Therefore, the adjustment sequence is: adjust from the 10m high-frequency band to the 40m low-frequency band. Generally, only the 40m frequency band needs appropriate adjustment.
