Tuning and Performance
The Sigma X-80 uses an integrated 6:1 UNUN transformer to optimize the impedance of the 6-meter aluminum radiator. This system allows for a 1:1 Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) on all operating bands through the use of an Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU).

Technical Evolution: The Optional Radial Kit
In an end-fed antenna, the system needs a counterweight to complete the electrical circuit. We strongly recommend purchasing the Optional Radial Kit: this acts not as a simple ground, but as a true extension of the active radiator. By extending the physical and electrical length of the antenna, the kit allows for perfect balancing of RF currents, making tuning much simpler and reception clearer, especially on the 160m and 80m bands.
