mAT-Y200 is specially designed for Yaesu brand transceivers with RF power no more than 200W (SSB), such as FT-891, FT-991A, FTDX10, FTDX101D, FTDX101MP. It should be noted that it cannot be used for FTDX5000 and FT-2000, as these transceivers do not have a standard 8-pin Yaesu tuner interface. For the FTDX-101MP transceiver, when using an external tuner, it will automatically set the maximum RF power to 100W, so when using this tuner, the maximum output RF power is 100W. The FT-817/818 transceiver also cannot use this tuner, if you happen to use this transceiver, please choose the mAT-10 tuner, which is specially designed for FT-817/818.
This tuner is also an excellent choice for users who like to use the transceiver in digital modes such as FT8, CW, and RTTY. For most tuners, it is not possible to withstand 100 watts of digital mode RF signals entering the tuner. The mAT-Y200 allows digital mode RF signals up to 100 watts to pass through the tuner.
20150508_135054 mAT-Y200 has an operating frequency range of 1.8-54MHz and a maximum allowed RF power of 200 watts. As an external antenna tuner, it is connected to the transceiver via an mAT-CY control cable. The transceiver supplies power to the tuner through this cable, communicates with it, and controls the tuner's operation. The tuner does not require additional power. The tuner can track and synchronize frequency data with the transceiver, just like the classic mAT-30 tuner, which makes the tuner's operation very convenient.
20150508_135054 It will tune dipoles, verticals, Yagis, or virtually any coax-fed antenna. It will match an amazing range of antennas and impedances, far greater than some other tuners you may have considered, including the built-in tuners on many radios.
