Headset Microphone for Amateur Radio Transceivers with HC6 capsule
The Heil Proset Elite professional headset microphone represents the pinnacle of Heil headsets. The Proset Elite features large, padded earcups with removable cotton covers. These headphones offer comfortable use even after long periods. The audio output is optimized for voice transmission on amateur bands, ensuring excellent intelligibility. Like all "Proset" series headsets, it incorporates a phase switch on one of the speakers. The phase switch rotates the audio on one side of the headset by 180° to offer better intelligibility.
Another innovation of the Proset Elite is the new HC-6 dynamic microphone, which has a wide frequency response ranging from 100 to 12,500 Hz (-3dB) and is particularly suitable for SSB or for high-fidelity AM and FM. For contests or DX operations, you can adjust the radio's equalizer for a narrower voice.
For older Icom radios, which require a higher microphone level, the Proset Elite is also offered in a version with the "IC" electret microphone element. This element requires 5V power, normally available on Icom transceivers.
The Heil Proset Elite comes with a 180 cm coiled cable terminated with a 3.5 mm mono jack for the microphone and a 3.5 mm stereo jack for the earphones. The adapter for the 6.3 mm stereo jack is included. The Proset Elite requires an adapter code AD-1-x-x for your radio.
