The Heil PR 40 microphone boasts the widest frequency range of any dynamic microphone in the Heil PR series. The PR 40 uses Heil's most advanced technology in sound phasing capture, along with the use of a very large diameter low-mass diaphragm, and custom magnets housed in a specially designed microphone body.
The PR 40 diaphragm is shock mounted in such a way that it is completely decoupled from the champagne anodized satin steel body. In addition to the dual mesh screens, each made with different diameter diaphragms, there is an internal breath filter on the diaphragm element itself, which provides excellent response for the human voice across the entire vocal range, without "pops". In fact, the PR 40 will provide a perfect, smooth, and flat response from 28 Hz up to 18kHz, making this an exceptional microphone for everything from vocals, to drums and percussion, to guitar and bass miking, and more.
