ECO ANTENNE LW-40 long wire end fed from 160 to 6 meters
The LW-40s are end-fed long wire antennas. They have a 9:1 UNUN at the feed point which allows direct feeding with 50 Ohm coaxial cable. The 9:1 UNUN also removes static noise and provides a DC path to ground. All are capable of handling up to 400 W RF.
With a length of 40.5 m, it will work on all bands from 160m to 6m via an ATU. It can be mounted straight, in an inverted V, or diagonally. It can also make several bends to fit the available space.
It withstands 400 W continuous or 500 PEP
Due to the variable impedance characteristic of any long wire antenna, the ATU integrated into the average transceiver will not be able to handle all bands. This antenna needs an external ATU or a system capable of capacitively loading the antenna's j and X. This result can be achieved with matching networks in L or T configurations.
The LW-40 is fully assembled and ready for use. The poly weave wire also does not kink and is extremely durable.
