Anytone AT-D878UVIIPLUS is a compact and robust IP54 digital DMR VHF and UHF portable radio (compatible with MOTOTRBO Tier 1 and 2), also supporting traditional ANALOG FM.

Like the previous 878 PLUS, the new D878UVII PLUS offers true VFO operation and the ability to add channels and store their characteristics even without the use of a PC.
In fact, a radio operator can set a frequency and transmit parameters as usual, instead of only accessing pre-programmed memory channels.
The Anytone AT-D878UVII PLUS also features memory channels, 4000 to be precise. The storable Talk-Groups have been expanded to 10,000, and 500,000 contacts can be stored in the address book.
A further difference from other DMR devices is the ability to modify most (not all) parameters on the device. So you don't have to rely on computer programming for every small change. However, settings for all parameters (e.g. DMR ID) are only possible with corresponding PC software (free).
The feature set of the AT-D878UVII PLUS is very extensive. 4000 different channels can be stored (digital and analog, mixed operations also possible); 10,000 talk groups are configurable and the memory can hold up to 500,000 contacts. In analog operation, functions such as DTMF, CTCSS, and DCS are supported, as well as encoding with two-tone and five-tone signals. A 1750 Hz tone burst is also available. Five radio buttons can be individually assigned functions, so that each user can adjust the radio according to their personal preferences. The large 1.77" color display can be illuminated with different brightness levels and is easy to read even in sunlight. To save power, the display turns off after an adjustable period of time.
Another feature to highlight is the option to store multiple DMR IDs. Thus, it would be conceivable to use the device both in a professional business environment and in amateur radio with another ID for the amateur radio band.
So multiple family members can share one device. The Anytone AT-D878UVII PLUS is equipped with a GPS receiver; location data can be transmitted via radio.
The transmit power can be set in 4 levels from a minimum of one to 6 watts (VHF) or 7 watts (UHF). The headphone/microphone jack is compatible with Kenwood or Wouxun. The antenna connection is a male SMA connector (reverse), so optional antennas of any brand can be used, provided they have a female SMA connector.

The programming cable is included in the delivery; the programming software must be downloaded (free of charge) from the manufacturer.
