ACOM 700S | LDMOS 1.8-54 MHz Linear Amplifier
The ACOM 700S represents the state of the art in solid-state linear amplifier technology. Designed to ensure a nominal output power of 700W (PEP or continuous carrier) across all amateur radio bands from 160 to 6 meters, this equipment combines superior mechanical robustness with latest-generation intelligent electronic management.
RF Architecture and Performance
The heart of the system is based on a high-efficiency LDMOS transistor, protected by constantly active monitoring circuits. The broadband input section ensures perfect matching with the transceiver (typical SWR of 1.1:1) without the need for any manual retuning across the entire covered frequency spectrum.
- Total Independence: Compatible with any standard transceiver; only requires a PTT signal (ground on TX) and less than 40W of drive power.
- Automatic Management: Via the CAT connection, the amplifier instantly follows the radio's band changes. In the absence of CAT, the digital frequency counter detects the RF signal and switches the band automatically.
User Interface and Control
Operation is managed via a 5" high-resolution color display (800x480 pixels, 24-bit), which provides detailed textual diagnostics and simultaneous monitoring of over 10 operating parameters.
The unit is fully ready for Remote Control: via the RS-232 port or the optional ACOM eBox Ethernet interface, it is possible to manage the entire station over the internet, an ideal configuration for remote stations or contest entry.
Engineering for Field Operations
Despite the power output, the 700S boasts an extremely compact and lightweight structure. The integrated switching power supply (SMPS) is designed to operate within an extended range (100-240V AC) with power factor correction (PFC), ensuring stability even when powered by generators or unstable electrical grids.
The perfect electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) with sensitive station devices exceeds standard requirements thanks to the use of high-efficiency integrated RF filters.
