ACOM 2020S | Solid-State 1.8-54 MHz Linear Amplifier
Available from July 2022 by reservation
Easy to Use
The overall operation of the ACOM 2020S is extremely simplified: the touchscreen menus are intuitive and easy to follow, and no special skills are required from the operator when changing frequency bands.
Intuitive Automatic Control
When connected to a transceiver with CAT capability, the amplifier will track the operating frequency and change bands accordingly. Even if not CAT-connected, the amplifier monitors the input signal frequency through its built-in frequency counter and automatically changes bands.
High-Resolution Color Display with Touchscreen
Amplifier status indications are explained via detailed text displayed on the RCU's 7" high-resolution color touch display (155x90 mm, 1024x600 pixels, and 24-bit color). All indicators and controls (except the main power switch and power indicator) are accessible via the RCU's touchscreen, just as all input commands to the RCU are menu-driven.
Transceiver Independent
Compatible with all transceiver models - no special signals required: "ground in transmit" and RF drive power are sufficient.
Two Power Modules
Employs two powerful modules using the power division/combination technique.
LDMOS Transistor Technology
The two final PA stages utilize a robust LDMOS transistor - MRFX1K80HR5 or equivalent.
Broadband Input Circuit
Broadband input circuit, providing a perfect transceiver load with SWR below 1.2 (typically 1.1), without retuning across the entire frequency range from 1.8 to 54 MHz.
Intelligence
Takes care of itself during operation thanks to continuously operating protection circuits in all modes. The operator can monitor 11 (eleven) amplifier parameters in operation.
Easy Maintenance
Detailed data (55 parameters) on each of the last 28 physical fault protection events are stored in the amplifier's memory.
Remote Control Functionality
Remotely controlled via the Internet through an integrated Web interface and integrated RJ45 Ethernet port and Wi-Fi adapter.
Compact and Lightweight Construction
Extremely compact and lightweight construction with an integrated switching power supply (SMPS) operating with an extended mains voltage range of 200-240 VAC, ±10% (limit values 180-264 VAC), without internal switching. The current consumed is purely sinusoidal, PFC (Power Factor Corrected), and limited inrush current. This makes operation from unstable grids and generators easy and trouble-free.
Electromagnetic Compatibility
Complies with CE requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and FCC regulations. Perfect compatibility with both highly sensitive devices and powerful radio station devices (receivers, computers, other amplifiers) due to the PFC used and integrated radio frequency filters.
