REMOTEBOX 2X6
RemoteBox is a universal remote control for antenna switches and is compatible with most devices on the market .
Some examples of these switches are:
- Six-Pack (2×6)
- SJ2W (1×6 and 2×6)
- MicroHAM (Sixpack, Double Sixpack, ..)
- RemoteQTH (1×6, 2×6)
- Ameritron (RCS-8, RCS-10)
- DX Engineering antenna switches (DXE-RR8B-HP, DXE-RR8B-SD, DXE-RR2X8B)
- All our models (AS1x6, AS2x6, AS2x8, AS2x12)
- …
In this way, RemoteBox can control any of these switches, replacing the original remote control. Similarly, RemoteBox can be connected to a computer, allowing antenna control via the RBM program, operating the switch locally or remotely (e.g., via the internet).
It also includes a BandData input (2 on 2x6 or 2x8 models) that allows reading the band the radio is operating on and automatically switching the antenna. This prevents human errors in changing the radio band and using the wrong antenna. Supported switches are: 1x6, 1x8, 2x6, 2x8 or 2x12, or a 1x4 vertical antenna phaser. On models with two outputs (2x6 or 2x8), priority assignment is allowed to resolve conflicts when the same antenna is selected on both radios. The RemoteBox does not allow selecting the same antenna on both outputs.
The RemoteBox includes a display that shows the assigned antenna and its assigned name, allowing for customization of antenna positions. It features a quick-release system for remote control cables. It also includes an auxiliary output that can be used to automatically switch, for example, ICE 419 filter boxes (or similar). By reading the radio band via BandData, the RemoteBox not only switches the antenna but also the filter to the appropriate band.
